As a student aged 16 – 19 you may be able to get free bus travel to and from College if you are living in the Leeds council tax area and more than 3 miles from College.

Application forms can be picked up from Joseph Priestley College’s receptions.

If you are 16 – 18 and studying full time, you can buy a School Plus MetroCard. For £25.50/month or £6.75/week you can enjoy free bus travel on most buses in West Yorkshire.

To get a School Plus MetroCard, you need a Scholar’s PhotoCard – this costs £2 and is available from Post Offices, Metro Travel Centres or Bus Stations. It's a card for 16 -18  year old students in full-time education, which allows you to claim half price bus and train travel. With this you can buy a School Plus MetroCard. For £25.50 pre month or £6.75 per week you can enjoy free bus travel on most buses in West Yorkshire.
