Did you know that Joseph Priestley College has offered competitively priced courses for over 50 years?

The following fee concessions may be available to you:

Courses are completely free if you are:

·        under 19 years old on 31/08/09
·        enrolling on your first full Level 2 course
·        aged 19-25 and enrolling on your first full Level 3 course
·        a learner with Severe Learning Difficulties and /or Disabilities and under 25 years old
·        are on a Skills for Life course in literacy and numeracy
 

Course tuition fees are free, but you have to pay Exam and Registration fees if you:

·        receive pension guarantee credit
·        receive job seeker’s allowance
·        receive disabled person’s tax credit
·        receive working tax credit (households with an income less than £15,276)
·        receive income support, housing or council tax benefit
·        receive income-related Employment and support Allowance (ESA) – a new allowance from 27 October 2008.
·        Are the unwaged dependant of one of the above as defined by the Benefits Agency
·        An asylum seeker receiving income based benefits
·        are an offender serving your sentence in the community
·        are participating in LSC-funded projects
·        are a Level 3 jumper (you are taking a full Level 3 without having a full Level 2 qualification)

 
(You must bring current proof of benefits when you enrol. If you don’t bring proof you will be expected to pay the full fee.)
 
You are entitled to 50% off tuition fees but have to pay full Exam and Registration fees if you:
·        are a pensioner, not working, and in receipt of the state pension
·        receive disability allowance
(and can provide current evidence).
