ALG – Adult Learning Grant for over 19s! If you are studying full time on a level 2 or 3 course you must be studying a minimum of 12 hours per week on a vaild course and attend it regularly, you could get between £10 and £30 per week during term time.

How much ALG you get depends on your annual income - if you live with a partner and you have a joint annual income of less than £30,810 or if you are living on your own or with a partner who is not employed and your income is less than £19,513 per year, you may get ALG.

It is available for up to 2 years (and can be extended to 3 years if you fulfil certain requirements).
